About 2 years ago I began my quest to become an actuary. I am currently an assistant actuary at Lincoln Financial Group. I have passed 3 exams and am currently studying for my 4th, which I'll take near the end of the year. These exams help keep my "tutoring mindset" fresh as I am constantly required to learn new material throughout the process.

HobbiesI enjoy helping others. As I have begun to tutor more and more students, I have realized how much I really enjoy it. I enjoy seeing my students grow along the way, and it is extremely pleasing to me to help students learn to enjoy math and not to be discouraged nor overwhelmed with learning and understanding the concepts.
More importantly, though, my goal is to help students learn to figure things out for themselves. With this skill, I truly believe that the possibilities are endless for each of my students.
A little bit of background about me:
I was always very busy with sports growing up (baseball, soccer and tennis), and continued to play through high school and a bit of college.
Currently I spend most of my time working, studying, and of course with my family (especially my little girls, Philomena and Genevieve). My wife and I try to be active daily with our growing family. We also spend a good deal of time learning and growing in our faith.
A few things that I wish I could do more of is woodworking (building random little things and gifts) and growing our own organic food.

I was looking for a math tutor for my son that would have the flexibility to meet in our home and also have a solid understanding of algebra. Not only did Justin meet those expectations, but he is able to explain complex math concepts to my son in a manner he can understand and then apply to his homework and upcoming tests. Justin is very friendly, considerate and accommodating with his schedule. It has been a tremendous help to my son to be working with Justin.
